Wholesale engines direct terms and conditions for warranty. 

Terms and Conditions Must Read By signing for your item all terms and conditions are agreed to any change in them must be shown on your receipt by your salesmen.

  1. Wholesale Engines Direct terms and conditions are simple and straightforward. Easy to follow and important in making sure your warranty is valid.
  2.  All Used parts come with a standard 180-day warranty. For a return of the part, if there is a mechanical failure or an incorrect part is shipped we pay all shipping back to us, and the shipping to send another part to you. We reserve the right to repair or replace a part. If we cannot get another part to you, or if you were not satisfied with the service you can request a refund at any time. If an order is canceled and the part has shipped your refund will be minus shipping and 25 percent restock. If the part is returned and no replacement is needed or wanted, then shipping and processing, and restocking also apply. As long as we can repair or replace the part you do not have to pay shipping costs or replacement costs. Used engines must have a new water pump installed to validate the warranty. Used engines are sold as a long block assembly nothing else is covered under warranty besides the long block (heads block all internals) unless the salesman says otherwise. If applicable transmissions must have a filter replaced, and have a transmission flush done before installation, A new transmission cooler must be installed where it applies. All Receipts must be printed and time-stamped from the parts store they were purchased at. No hand-written Receipts are accepted. Any vehicle that has modifications to the drivetrain or electronics that change the way the engine or transmission works will be purchased as is due to the change in the stock vehicle not being O.E.M and can cause all kinds of mechanical and electrical issues. If you have questions if the modifications on a vehicle will affect your warranty please let your salesman know and it will be reflected on your receipt and warranty if it is covered.
  3. You can cancel an order at any time, for any reason, and as long as the part has not shipped you will receive a full refund unless it is a remanufactured part that had to be built. If that is canceled during the building process then the customer will be refunded minus a building and restock fee of 30% work has been started on the specific order and the labor time to build the part has to be taken into account if you cancel your order. If however, you cancel an order while in mid-shipment, or for any other reason that does not directly relate to a failure of the part you will be refunded minus the shipping cost and a 25% restocking fee.
  4. All new or remanufactured engines are the long block with a full gasket kit, timing, and the water pump installed where applicable. The tinware which includes valve covers, oil pan, and timing cover will come with the engine if they are in inventory if not then gaskets are provided to switch them over from the original engine. Just like with a used engine, a new water pump must be installed. Transmissions that are new or remanufactured need only a new filter (when called for) and new fluid. All receipts will be needed if there is a warranty claim.
  5. Wholesale engines direct, at its option, can either choose to repair or replace the defective unit. No warranty is covered on any attached accessories and parts such as manifolds, carburetor, distributor, alternator, starter, water pump, oil pump, thermostat, clutch, flywheel, timing belt of a belt-driving engine, and all seals, etc. Used Transmissions: Electrical switches, wiring systems, shifting linkage, and torque converter are not guaranteed. Unless otherwise specified.
  6. Used Modules are guaranteed to be correct as ordered and only have a 30-day replacement warranty. We strongly advise against putting a used module in your vehicle, as sometimes with electronic problems using a used part might make things worse. Programming is not guaranteed on a used module, but it is guaranteed that the module is unlocked and can be programmed at a dealer, or with the correct programming tool.
  7. Labor warranties do not cover vehicles larger than 1 ton or vehicles mainly used for towing or fleet vehicles. Because these vehicles are used in a manner that can be very hard on various parts we cannot be responsible for labor when the vehicle is being used beyond normal driving conditions. This is consistent with most warranties throughout the industry please check with your salesman if you have any questions. It is the customer’s responsibility to tell Wholesale Engines Direct if the vehicle is being used for anything other than a daily driver.
  8. Due to the materials and composition of the power train (engine, transmission, transfer case) components, we do not warranty against surface rust that may accrue over time, as long as it does not affect the overall performance of the product sold. There is a reasonable expectation that surface rust will form no matter if the product is stored on a shelf or left in the donor vehicle until the time of sale.
  9. Installation of the engine requires tune-up including, but not limited to plugs, ignition wires, timing belts, gaskets, etc.
  10. Engines are left as complete as possible for the convenience of the installer. This warranty does not cover attached items and accessories such as (and are not limited to) water pumps, oil pumps, fuel pumps, throttle bodies, coils, distributors, etc. It covers the long block assembly unless otherwise stated on your receipt.
  11. ABSOLUTELY NO LABOR PAID ON REPLACED ITEMS. UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN WARRANTY.
  12. IMPROPER INSTALLATION WILL VOID THE WARRANTY. INCLUDING INSTALLING AFTERMARKET OR NON-O.E.M PARTS.
  13. All remanufactured parts are subject to the remanufacturers warranty that will be sent with the part. it is the purchaser’s responsibility to obtain these instructions if they are missing and not received in shipping and all remanufactured warranty terms and conditions apply.
  14. All warranties will be void if a defective part is removed from the vehicle without Wholesale Engines Direct authorization. If a replacement part is sent then we must pick up the defective part before a replacement will be sent. We cannot have two parts out at the same time and will need to pick up the bad part before a new part can be sent. If you are given instructions to take pictures or otherwise diagnose something or have it diagnosed you have 15 business days from the time this is requested to get this done. If you are to send something in and more than this time has passed your warranty will be void.
  15. If there is a problem with an engine or transmission that causes the customer to question if the engine or transmission is good and they install it anyways without contacting Wholesale Engines Direct. The warranty is void. For example, black transmission fluid, broken or otherwise damaged parts, metal in the oil pans of transmissions or engines, and engines not being able to be turned. If any of these things and other damage not listed here is present in your engine or transmission, and you install it anyway without contacting Wholesale Engines Direct then your warranty is void as we cannot be sure that damage was not due to customer error.
  16. All Ford 3-valve engines that call for changing the cam phasers and oil pump because of a factory defect must have this repair done before installation and receipts kept in case of warranty claims. This includes but is not limited to F150 and F250, Expeditions, E150, and E250, and Excursions from 2004- 2010 with the 8th digit of the VIN usually being a 5 but all have 3 valves and technical service bulletins issued by the dealer. This must be done before installation on used engines and with remanufactured engines, the update has already been done. If this important update is not done then the warranty will be voided. This update directly affects the engine’s timing and how it runs so if it is not done the engine is going to fail and that is why this must be done with this particular engine.
  17. Core returns. Cores must be rebuildable if a core is returned and it cannot be rebuilt then the core deposit is nonrefundable. If you do not let us pick a core up within 30 days, we will void the warranty and attempt to charge the customer the full price of the core which is up to double the core price that is charged initially. If you have no plans on returning the core you must tell us so we are aware that the core price is changed and let the customer know the difference in cost. If you do not inform the sales associate that you do not plan on returning the core then the cost will be charged to your method of payment for the shipping to pick up the core as well as the full cost of the core. All core charges are explained when the part is bought. If no core is discussed, then the core does not need to be returned. If the core is picked up the customer is stating the part has been installed and is running to the customer’s satisfaction. A core will not be picked up until the customer has the new part installed and it is in working order in case parts are needed off of the core or some other situation arises where the core is needed by the customer.
  18. Rotary engines with turbo are sold as-is with a startup warranty only, after the engine is received and installed the warranty period ends. As is warranties only apply to certain engines and will be listed on the receipt.
  19. All parts must be installed by an A.S.E-certified licensed shop or mechanic. If parts are not installed correctly by a licensed shop warranty will be void. Customer installation of parts without proper procedure being followed can and will cause many issues that a certified mechanic will not make. Most newer vehicles require detailed install instructions that if not followed can cause failure.
  20. All parts must be installed within 14 days of receiving the part and receipts must be kept and time-stamped within 14 days of the customer receiving their part. If more time is needed call and speak to your salesman to see if we can offer a solution if we can it must be sent to your email address in writing that we have extended the installation time. If you do not have this email as proof then your install time is still 30 days from the date the part is received, if the part is not installed within 14 days or if the receipts are not time-stamped from the parts store the parts were purchased at (handwritten receipts are not acceptable within 14 days and more time has not been requested, your warranty is void.
  21. All body parts, electrical and non-mechanical parts are covered under warranty if they are broken or do not work or if the wrong part was sent out. They cannot be returned if the customer decides they do not want them or ordered the wrong part. It is up to Wholesale Engines Direct’s discretion whether to take back parts ordered in error.
  22. If there is a fault found and the customer is refunded monies to do repairs to a part that repair must be done. If it is not done within 30 days of the refund taking place the warranty is void customer must also supply a time-stamped receipt for parts and labor showing repairs were done hand written receipts are not acceptable they must be printed receipts from wherever the part is/was purchased at. Absolutely no refunds after a customer(s) have had a part longer than 90 days unless otherwise stated on their receipt the warranty will only cover replacement after 90 days.
  23. Any warranty 1 year or longer must have service records kept for the part that was purchased with the time-stamped receipt as proof that the vehicle has been taken care of with the service required by the manufacturer I.E. oil changes, transmission flushes, spark plug replacement, and gasket replacement. Customer mileage is taken when the order is placed and is used to determine when the service was supposed to be done as called for by the manufacturer. It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure mileage is accurate and given in a timely manner they will be notified on the receipt if it is needed.

Exclusions

ANY Labor or Installation charges, unless specified on the customer’s receipt and in the recorded order verification system.

Incidental or consequential damages including, but not limited to, damage to or the cost of related parts, loss of income, travel expenses, loss of transportation, towing fees, rental vehicles, or diagnostics are NOT covered by this warranty.

Parts installed in vehicles that are raced or used off-road are NOT covered by this warranty.

This warranty does not cover damage or failure arising directly or indirectly from improper installation (not in accordance with the original equipment manufacturer’s specifications) or related vehicle problems, misuse, maintenance, neglect, abuse, overheating, vandalism, abnormal operation, environmental conditions, accident or any damage which was apparent and not reported at the time of delivery.

This warranty does not cover freight costs or similar damages.

General Limitations

This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. You must be able to provide an original receipt in your name for the warranty claim to be considered.

Any repairs not authorized in writing by Wholesale Engines Direct will void the warranty.

We reserve the right to have the part inspected to ensure that all pertinent provisions of this warranty have been met prior to any replacement, repair, or refund.

This part may have accessories that are attached and must be switched or removed to accommodate proper installation, which is the responsibility of the installer. Such accessories are NOT covered by this warranty.

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.

Wholesale Engines Direct does not authorize any person to create for it any obligation or liability in connection with this warranty.

Jurisdiction, Venue & Arbitration

All disputes and controversies of every kind and nature between Wholesale Engines Direct and Purchaser, arising out of or relating to this agreement, transaction, or purchase, shall be settled by mandatory binding arbitration in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida, in accordance with Florida arbitration law. The arbitrator shall be an arbitrator mutually agreeable to the parties, or if the parties cannot agree, an arbitrator appointed by the Court. The jurisdiction and venue for any and all disputes and controversies between the parties shall be in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida, and decided in accordance with Florida law. All parties shall be responsible for their own lawyer’s fees and any costs incurred during litigation and dispute.

Special Orders

There are no returns or refunds on special orders. The exchange may be made at the discretion of the supplier.

Advice

If technical or mechanical advice is offered or given in connection with the purchase it will be as an accommodation to the purchaser and without charge. The seller and/or supplier shall have no responsibilities or liabilities whatsoever for the content or use of such advice.

Industry Standards & Policies For Warranty

The following are industry standards and policies for warranty consideration. All used parts or merchandise must be inspected by the buyer for defects or safety hazards. There are NO guarantees or warranties on used merchandise for apparent or non-apparent safety hazards. Used parts or merchandise may have defects and it is the responsibility of the buyer to inspect for actual or latent hazards.

Shipping Guidelines

We at Wholesale Engines Direct understand that shipping time is one of the most important things to our customers. On almost any part used, new, or remanufactured shipping time is in between 3-5 days in the continental U.S. With used parts it does take a day or two to pull and test the part.

Sometimes shipping may take longer, mostly on some remanufactured parts such as engines, and transmissions. If your part is going to take longer than 3-5 business days we will let you know. Having parts available is an important guideline for us, so we can get the part out as quickly as possible to you the customer and we will work with customers in whatever way needed to get them the best part for the best price quicker than any comparable competition.
